Databases

ComDis Dome (Communication Sciences and Disorders Dome)

ComDis Dome is a broad-based resource for professionals and students in the communication and speech/hearing therapy fields. It indexes articles, books, web pages, and dissertations, and provides information on leading scholars and institutions.

CINAHL (EBSCO)

Provides indexing for over 1,700 current nursing and allied health journals and other publications dating back to 1982, with links to the full text of many articles in other GTL databases. Covers nursing, biomedicine, alternative complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. Full text material includes 60 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments, and clinical trials. See also Pre-CINAHL below.

Pre-CINAHL (EBSCO)

A companion database to CINAHL, Pre-CINAHL is intended to provide current awareness of new journal articles, and includes a rotating file of limited bibliographic information (no subject searching), which are available to researchers only for the time when these articles are being assigned additional indexing. This enables users to gain access to article citations that otherwise would not be available. Once the bibliographic records are complete, they are added to the CINAHL database and removed from Pre-CINAHL.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition (EBSCO)

This database provides 600 scholarly full-text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. It also indexes articles for an additional 850 journals.

Medline (EBSCO)

Index of over 3,500 journals worldwide in all areas of medicine. Includes links to full text articles for some journals. Covers 1965 to present.

ERIC via (EBSCO)

Index to education, child development, and educational psychology journals, curriculum guides, research reports, conference proceedings, bibliographies, and more. Links are available to many full text resources in other GTL databases.
