The first edition of the Encyclopedia of Television is available to browse online from the Museum of Broadcast Communications. Select "Publications" from the main navigation links and then "Encyclopedia of TV (1st Ed.)." The 2nd edition (2004) of the Encyclopedia of Television is available in the Library's Reference collection: REF PN 1992.18 .E52 2004.
In spite of its title, this site includes material about the '50s, '60s, and '70s. Select "Classic TV" from the navigation index for a list of "hundreds of your favorite old TV Shows, including more than a hundred TV Westerns."
